I can’t thank everyone enough for the support so far! Carrot’s continuing to recover well, even tried to play with Cinnabutt even though he’s grounded for a few more days (until the vet gives the okay for him to return to regular activity). I had an idea that’s in the motion of being worked out, and I think it’ll excite you. I’ll tell you more about it when the supplies are lined up (and I can get this baby boy to sit still for more than three seconds), but in the meantime, here’s a selfie of the goob (with me photobombing—er—cuddling him) 🧡

🥕Carrot Had to Go to the ER?! 🥕
This past weekend, baby Carrot was rushed to the ER after we found him repeatedly vomiting.
The doctor took a look at him and found a red ribbon caught around the base of his tongue.
X-Rays revealed that he swallowed a ribbon, and it’d gotten all the way through his digestive system.
In other words, the boy needed surgery.
It was going to be an intense surgery, and the situation—which was also pretty intense—was life-threatening to him.
And he justleveled up to 1 in June!
We decided to go through with the surgery, pricetag be damned.
🥕 Which Leads Us to Today. 🥕
Thankfully, the surgery went great, and Carrot seems to be recovering well, outside of expected wooziness and sleepiness.
He’s on a steady pain-management schedule, slowly getting back to being his ol’ goofy, aggressively affectionate self,
and cuddling as much as the Cone of Shame will allow him to.
🥕 The Final Damage: $7418.97 🥕
The total, final cost of the surgery leaves us around $7.4k in debt to Scratch Pay. Which, on top of my own surgery cost, leaves us a heaping $10k or so in medical debt alone. I’m ramping things up to help where I can to try to cover as much of the cost as I can from my end.

Carrot swallowed a ribbon and wound up in the ER. My partner and I have covered the bill, but we need help recovering from it! I’m doubling my efforts to raise half of the bill and need your help!
